Our two new Active Member trustees to the ERS board, Veobia Akilo, Chief of Staff for the Department of Transportation, and Quinton Herbert, Director and Chief Human Capital Officer for the Department of Human Resources, were sworn in during a ceremony at Mayor Brandon Scott’s office.

On Monday, January 29, new ERS Trustee Sharon Lockley was sworn in by Mayor Brandon Scott at City Hall. Ms. Lockley is retired from the Department of Audits at the Baltimore City Comptroller’s office. She was elected to the board by the retired membership and will serve a four-year term.

Mattony Lewis is the ERS Legal Assistant. With a background as a title agent processing foreclosures for Fannie Mae, Mattony joined ERS in 2022. Working in real estate, she gained a wealth of experience in the legal and financial space, giving her a strong background for her role at ERS. “I feel like I’m thriving
